I’ve had the pleasure (<— double entendre) of owning the Tantus Feeldoe Slim for over a year now. I receive a TON of questions about it and I’ll attempt to address many of those in this review as honestly as possible.
What is a Feeldoe?
A Feeldoe is a “strapless dildo” where one end (known as the “pony”) is inserted into the vagina (could also be inserted into the anus or mouth if one so desires). The other end (known as the “horse”) can be inserted in any orifice of a consenting partner.
The pony end has an egg shaped bulb which is meant to help the toy stay in place once inserted.
There is also an area known as the “saddle” that comes with ridges which are designed to pleasure your clitoris while either masturbating or penetrating your partner.
Or if one chooses to masturbate with the pony end inserted, the horse end works as an amazing handle to force the saddle against your clit and push the pony end perfectly up against your G-Spot. In fact, I dare say you could call the horse end in this instance, your “joy” “stick.” 👋🏼
Does it really stay in place?
I get this question often. It really depends on the individual female and positioning. You would need to have strong kegels in order to hold it in place while thrusting.
Additionally, the vagina is self-lubricating so this causes the bulb to want to slide out eventually in the direction of gravitational forces. This self-lubricating (and/or via using bottled lubricant) can cause the horse end to go up, down, left or right.
So how do you solve this issue? Some options include:
- There are harnesses made for specifically for the Feeldoe. The one I’ve personally had my eye on is here: Feeldoe Vanity Harness
- You could also use a pair of men’s underwear and place the horse end through the hole designed for his manhood.
- You could use a pair of your own panties and cut a hole in them.
- If you’re a master with ropes, you could “MacGyver” the ropes into a makeshift harness.
- Or you could simply hold it in place with your hand.
Can you have sex without a harness? Absolutely as there are plenty of videos online of people doing it. However, my hypothesis would be that those interactions wouldn’t last a long time for most people and there are certain positions/techniques/cuts in action that are allowing those scenes to take place.
Can you have fun with the Feeldoe without a harness? Absolutely as long as you have strong enough kegels and/or choose the “right” positioning. If you’re trying to do some vigorous, hands-free, Rocco Siffredi style fucking, you’ll likely want a harness to hold the Feeldoe in place.
Pros:
- The owner of Tantus is a businesswoman who strongly believes in using materials which are scientifically safe for our bodies. The Feeldoe is made of de facto medical grade silicone. This is a more expensive, higher quality option than “food grade silicone” of which many toys from other companies can be comprised. #HealthMatters ⚕️
- Cleaning: It’s Hypoallergenic and it can be cleaned via boiling it, bleaching it or simply putting it in your dishwasher.
- It’s insertable! Even if you have to use a harness, this feature makes it stand out from other “conventional” strapons which don’t push nor vibrate against a female’s internal G-Spot.
Cons:
- The toy is made of silicone (which is great), but that same silicone collects lint and dust very easily. If your Swiffer duster breaks, you can just walk around the house with your Feeldoe! LOL In all seriousness though, this is easily rectified by simply running it under some running water and the lint quickly washes off.
- The vibrating bullet that it comes with is mediocre at best. It also uses those annoying little flat batteries which are costly to replace over the lifetime of the product. The good news is that you can purchase a different bullet to replace the one it comes with. We’ve found a great alternative, but I’ll save that for a future review!
Conclusion:
I love the Feeldoe! It’s unique, empowering and pleasurable. All women should give this a try! There are a lot of counterfeit products (roughly around HALF of all adult sex toys) on the market. Thus, it’s best to shop directly via Tantus as you know you’re getting high quality, safe silicone which is getting inserted in some of the most precious & delicate parts of your body.
